Abstract:Schoolchoicemovementisakindofeducationalreformthathavethelargest influenceintheUnitedStatessince1980s,anditscoreistoextendthe marketmechanism intothefieldofeducation,sothatthestudentsandtheirparentscantakeadvantageofpublic fundingforschoolenrollmentby meansoffreechoicenotarrangementaccordingtotheir familydistricts.Duringthe21stcentury,schoolchoiceintheU.S.hasgainedwidespread support,thenumberofparticipantstrendstostronglygrow,andtheprovidersanddelivery ofeducationalservicesincreasinglydiverse.However,market-basedschoolchoicereformis controversialfromtheoutset,andisongoinginthepoliticalgamesandlegaldisputeswith thesupportofevidence-basedresearch.Althoughtherearedifferentnationalconditionsand socialsystembetweentheU.S.andChina,themaladjustmentbetweensupplyandneedof publiceducationsystemisalsoexistedinChina,theexperiencefrom market-basededucation marketreformandschoolchoicemechanismin AmericaisdeservedforreferenceinChina,
whichisbeneficialtodeepenreformofpublicschoolsandtosolvethehotproblemofschool choice.
