前面文章我们已经讲了如何降低重复率，并结合案例进行指导分析。值得注意的是，改写时要遵守句子意思不变或相近的原则。基于11.3节中分析的查重原理，我们总结出了如图11.7所示的主要降重方法及流程：首先应理解要改写句子的意思，然后在整体形式上改变句子结构（比如复杂句与简单句转换、主动句与被动句转换等），并进行局部改动，比如词组变换、同义词替换、单词形式变化（单复数变化、动词与名词转换、名词与形容词转换等）。
一、改写句子结构的例子，以复杂句与简单句转换为例
比如：复杂句：Based on the WL theory, Wang et al.developed an analytic model,which combines the Fourier synthesis method and the time-dependentlinear stability analysis, to predict the interface structures.
简单句：Based on the WL theory, Wang et al.developed an analytic modelto predict the interface structures.This model combines the Fouriersynthesis method and the time-dependent linear stability analysis.
二、词组变换
以名词所有格变换为例：the influence of...factor与the factor's influence。
三、同义词替换
比如：use和utilize; a positive change与an improvement。
四、单复数变化
比如：result与results。
五、动词与名词转换
比如：We consider..．与The consideration of...
六、名词与形容词转换
比如：The experiment was a success与The experiment was successful。
下面我们结合实例进行讲解：
案例1
原文句子：Although aluminum alloys have been used in a range ofstructural engineering applications, underpinned by many internationaldesign standards, plastic design methods are not currently applicable inmost of these standards.
重复句子：Aluminium alloys have been used in a wide range of engineeringapplications.（重复率为10/12≈83%。）
改写后句子：Aluminium alloy is being used widely in multiple engineeringapplications．重复率为0。
案例2
原论文中句子：Hence, it can be concluded that there is no significantdifference in the reduction factors of material properties between the flatand corner parts of Q345 cold-formed steel.
原论文中句子：A full strain rang expression up to the ultimate tensilestrain for the stress-strain curves of cold-formed carbon steel at elevatedtemperatures is also proposed in this paper.It is shown that the proposedequation accurately predicted the test results.
新论文中重复句子：A series of unified equations for
（1）the reduction factorsof the material properties for aluminium alloys
（2）at elevatedtemperatures are proposed in this study.It is shown that the proposedequations accurately predicted test results.（该句子和论文1中句子与论文2中句子重复，重复率为22/35≈63%。）
以上2个例子表明，首先从整体上改变句子结构和局部上改变词组及单词形式可以有效降低重复率。这种方法也在笔者指导的论文改写案例中得到了大量验证
